The Healthy Tooth Team's Philosophy of Dental Care

Dr. Presley-Nelson’s priority is to make it easy and comfortable for people to have dental care. Our office is relaxed, friendly, and sensitive to the fears of the public. We go out of our way to lessen discomfort and anxiety and to help everyone feel good about getting their teeth fixed. We treat everyone with gentle respect and a soft touch. No matter who you are, we know that you are nervous and Dr. Presley-Nelson and Dr. Fung want you to come to us and let us make it easier for you. Kindness and a little bit of light-hearted humor, mixed with respect for how difficult it is to trust and receive care, go a long way in making it feel “ok” for you to come to the dentist.

Besides offering bleaching and other cosmetics plus a full range of dental procedures, we focus on prevention, so that in the long run, the patient needs us less!

In a gentle, light-hearted way, Dr. Presley-Nelson, Dr. Fung, and Kathleen teach patients plaque control. Few people know the secret of plaque control. We are dedicated to teaching each patient an easy, comfortable way to disorganize bacterial plaque colonies. We give away, at no charge, much of our time, explaining and training! Did you know that you can be in control of your dental destiny? If you control plaque you will halt dental disease. There is no need to keep getting cavities and gum disease. Concerning patient comfort, we would like you to know that we do not use Nitrous Oxide due to the long-term effects. We use oral sedation, acupressure, and other gentle and caring techniques to help you have a pleasant experience. Did you know that humor and adventure audio entertainment can make your dental experience something to look forward to? Dr. Presley-Nelson has an extensive entertainment collection.

When I think back over my years of laughing and visiting with all of you, and all the years of taking care of you, my wonderful patients, I feel both grateful and humbled. It takes a lot of trust to submit to dental care. It takes a lot of trust to send your friends and family to me for dental care. I am so grateful to be in a profession that is such a unique blend of science and artistry; dental restorations need to function well and look good. It is so rewarding to help people feel better inside and out, and I feel so fortunate to do this for the loveliest group of patients who feel more like friends. Our family has been going to Dr. Presley Nelson Dental office for many years and find her (and Dr. Fung) extremely good, proficient, and professional and their staff very friendly, helpful, efficient and accommodating. We had been to many dentists prior to Dr. Presley Nelson (some moved, some retired, some passed away) and we have been so fortunate to find this dental office! We are extremely pleased with both the care and quality work we have received (and at very reasonable prices)! I would highly recommend Dr. Presley Nelson to all ages (our children started going to this office by the time they were 8)--she's highly competent and patient with all our questions and concerns. We also want to mention that the cleaning that we get by Kathleen is excellent and also recommend her highly!

Let's face it, having someone else's hands in your mouth is not a walk in the park, but at this office, it's a lot like comedy in the park! I don't need much done with my teeth, mostly my cleanings by Kathleen(goddess of pick and polish), and my exams by 'Doc' aka Beverly. Been coming to them since 1989 because they always do such good work. Kathleen is gentle, thorough, and laughs easily. Dr. Beverly is an educator and a humorist at heart. Need I say more? Just wish they we're a 'in-network' provider with my PPO but se la vie! Go... you won't be disappointed.

I'm a dental assistant here but also a patient. The dentists (Dr. Presley-Nelson and Dr. Fung) and the hygienist (Kathleen) really care about their patients. I've only worked here since October but I've witnessed how much extra care and effort they give in informing the patients of the dental care/procedure that's about to be done to them and also how thorough they do all procedures. Also Chisako (the office manager) is patient, respectful, well-mannered and works hard. The other two dental assistants I work with too always go above and beyond and don't cut corners. Everyone is so friendly, sweet, accommodating and overall a professional environment. Looking for dentist? You've found the right place!
